Phaidon International is excited to be partnering with the Chicago Foundation for Women (CFW), as part of our commitment to improving Diversity & Inclusion both internally, and in the communities we serve. On September 30th, our Phaidon International team in Chicago will have the privilege to host an internal discussion forum with President and CEO of Chicago Foundation for Women, Felicia Davis.
We are excited to have Felicia join us to share her experience and discuss the role that diversity and inclusion has in the workplace and across communities. She will share the impact women have in the workforce and how to normalize conversations about diversity. The work of the Foundation is centered in community and their approach acknowledges the importance of intersectionality, because gender and race are not exclusive of each other. To make a more equitable future, there cannot be gender equity without racial equity. We are looking forward to the discussion with our Chicago-based team, learning from her insights, and to sharing those learning across our wider business.
Felicia and her team at the Chicago Foundation for Women invest in women and girls as catalysts, to build strong communities for all. CFW funds organizations working to solve the biggest problems facing women and girls: economic insecurity, violence, and lack of access to health care and information. Since its founding, CFW has invested nearly $39 million in hundreds of organizations, leveraging the generosity of more than 2,700 donors, impacting over 70,000 women, girls, trans, and gender non-binary individuals in our region. In addition to grantmaking, CFW invests in developing women leaders and advocates, bringing together diverse coalitions to collaborate, share resources, and develop solutions.
